The week started off much like the season: Postponed. And it didn’t get much easier from there. Between COVID, rain, and even snow, our Mets have had no fewer than seven, SEVEN, games postponed so far this season. What on earth is going on?! The good news is that we’re somehow both above .500 and in first place in the NL East! Let’s hope we can keep both of those things true the rest of the way 🤞  DISLOCATED RECAP Hey, how have the Mets been doing? 🟠Sunday 4/11 vs Marlins - PPD The tarp was on the field for most of...
Week One

We finally have Mets baseball! After a rollercoaster of a week, with the ecstasy of the Lindor extension followed by the anguish of the postponed opening weekend series in Washington, the Mets opened their season in Philly, and came home to a partially fan-filled Citi Field on Thursday.  DISLOCATED RECAP Hey, how have the Mets been doing? 🟠Monday 4/5 at Phillies - L 5-3 Jake was the unquestioned star of the Mets delayed opening day, leading the team in both pitching and hitting after one game. He was pulled after cruising through 6 innings, with only 77 pitches. 50 of...
Baseball Is (Almost) Back!

We finally made it to Opening Day! The Mets opened their 2021 season this past Thursday down in the nation’s capital. *RECORD SCRATCH* Actually the Nats had a COVID outbreak, and MLB had to postpone the entire weekend series, so the Mets will start their season tomorrow in Philly. To say this is a disappointment would be like saying Pete Alonso can hit the ball hard. A complete understatement! We began the week with the final two Spring Training games, which are among the least meaningful games as guys like deGrom are held back from game action to fine tune their...
Three More Days
Posted by Nineteen Eighty-Sixed on
This week might be a little light on the content, so my apologies for that. Spring Training is winding down, with just a few more days til Opening Day. So there’s not much more to say other than the anticipation has never been greater. Let’s get to it, and Let’s Go Mets! DISLOCATED RECAP  Hey, how have the Mets been doing? 🟠Sunday 3/21 at Nationals - W 6-2  Sunday saw Jacob deGrom take the mound again, but no one at home got to see it, because it was once again not televised. Jake did his usual thing,...
Almost There

Ok, Spring Training is fun and all, but it’s feeling like it’s dragging on now. It’s less than two weeks until Opening Day, but who else is ready for it to be tomorrow? A whole bunch of Mets seem ready, that’s for sure. There are simply not enough televised games for our liking. Thankfully we’ll soon have every game on our screens, and may even get to catch a game in person before long!  DISLOCATED RECAP Hey, how have the Mets been doing? 🟠Sunday 3/14 vs Cardinals - W 7-5 David Peterson got the start, and had some trouble with his...
